Jessie J is swapping a concert costume for a hospital gown!
That’s because the singer revealed on Tuesday that she just had surgery and will be going off the grid for a little bit, until she gets better.

She took to Instagram to post a side-by-side video, where on one side she’s happy and healthy, and on the other she’s recovering in a hospital bed.
But, she made sure to maintain her sense of humor regarding the whole thing, since she set the video to Everybody Hurts by R.E.M., and HIGHlariously captioned it “On fleek to on bleek real quick”.
The pop star only explained that she had an operation, but if you want to know why, don’t go asking her — because she’s staying hush-hush about the whole thing.
She added in the caption:
“I had an operation yesterday so need to rest | I won’t be saying what for so PLEASE don’t keep asking me or harassing my close ones on here or anywhere for information | Its personal and I know you can respect that”
She did, however, confirm the hospital stint has nothing to do with her voice or her heart — the songbird suffers from Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome, which can cause a fast, irregular heartbeat.
She actually wrote quite a bit when describing the video, to serve as a way to communicate to her fans why she’ll be M.I.A. for a little while:
“I’m going to be offline for a few days and I wanted to show you why | I don’t often share personal stuff (especially about my health) anymore | I just get on with it secretly ├░┼╕╦£ΓÇ░ | but I wanted to share with you before someone else might and it gets twisted and exaggerated into something different or worse. Meh.”
The hitmaker made sure to relieve her stans’ concerns by saying that she’ll be okay, and even joked about wearing a hospital gown to The Voice live shows!
