The Beatles will have another piece of history cemented forEVA!
The English government has announced that John Lennon and Paul McCartney‘s Liverpool childhood will be preserved.
The homes served as inspiration for Lennon and McCartney when they were youngsters. The homes are referenced in such jingles as Penny Lane and Strawberry Fields Forever.
Lennon’s home, Mendips, is located on 251 Menlove Ave, where he lived for 20 years. McCartney is stone’s throw away at Forthlin Road. The preservation was granted by English Heritage, who believed the houses should be keepsakes for the huge amounts of practice and songwriting that occurred.
Unfortunately for George and Ringo, the folks in charge decided not to preserve their homes.
Liverpool just got two move landmarks!
