Things aren’t looking too good for Jose Canseco.
The former baseball star owes $7,600 after losing a lawsuit where Celebrity Boxing founder Damon Feldman sued Canseco after he allegedly sent his twin brother Ozzie to an event that he was supposed to attend.
Canseco lost because he didn’t show up to the hearing.
Feldman says:
“I just want to say I am relieved. He knows what he did. [I’m] pi**ed off that [Jose] thinks he can do this to people.”
The best part of this story is that when Jose’s brother Ozzie showed up at the event, organizers didn’t even know it WASN’T Jose until much later when they became suspicious that it wasn’t the real Jose.
He had been paid $5,000 upfront, but refused to give back the money, which resulted in a lawsuit.
What a hilarious, but also completely ridiculous move on your part, Jose. You totally deserved to lose this one!
