Don’t come for Katy Perry! Especially not in the middle of a show!
On Monday, the Teenage Dream singer was performing at a concert on her Lifetimes World Tour down in Sydney, Australia. But in the middle of the show at Qudos Bank Arena in the iconic Australian city, a fan unexpectedly rushed the stage. Oh no!
And not only that, the overzealous concertgoer made it ALL THE WAY to the American Idol judge before security was able to show up and split the two of ’em up! Oh noooooo!!!

So, Katy was in the middle of performing her 2008 hit Hot n Cold when the fan ran up next to her. The worst part was that Katy’s head was turned the other way at the time — so she couldn’t even see the person coming in her peripheral vision and try to brace herself! When the fan got up alongside Katy, the 40-year-old was absolutely shocked as the person flung their arm around the singer and held on TIGHT.
Uncool!
But then she extricated herself! Without so much as missing a beat, Katy twirled herself into a tight and fast spin to release the fan’s grasp from around her shoulders. And as she flew away down the stage in the other direction, security ran up to grab the fan and get ’em the hell away from the scene!
Here’s the interesting part of this otherwise unsettling situation, though: Katy was SUCH a cool customer! Not only did she handle the surprise way better than we would have, but she also said this to the crowd as the overzealous concert goer was being dragged off stage:
“There’s never going to be another show like this, so just enjoy it.”

Damn! Do y’all believe that last comment?? We don’t. Buuuut then again… who TF knows in this day and age! Just saying!
Now, for what it’s worth, Orlando Bloom‘s baby momma is already a total pro when it comes to dealing with s**t hitting the fan in the middle of a concert. Take, for example, the moment last month when Katy’s bra mistakenly snapped off as part of a mid-show wardrobe malfunction. Or the time a few weeks before that when she expertly trolled haters who criticize her concert moves. Or the time back in April when she smartly addressed all the hate she gets in general!
Basically, don’t f**k with Katy! LOLz!
