Kelly Ripa Dishes On Why She'll Never Join The View & Explains Why LIVE! Is Her 'Home' Despite The Recent Drama!

Kelly Ripa and Michael Strahan‘s LIVE! drama that got stirred up when it was announced the former NFLer would be leaving for Good Morning America is about to come to a close as Friday marks Michael’s last day on the talk show.
While Strahan moves on to his next gig, there have been rumors swirling that Kelly might be thinking about moving on to another show as well — a show like GMA or The View.

Well if you were worried, we’re happy to say don’t be as the former soap opera star dished to People saying:

“Our show is very different than your standard television program that has hosts on air. We do everything out in the open. If we need to know something it’s usually written on a card. If we need to talk to the director we yell up to the director and he yells down over a PA system.”

This is obviously important to the talk show host as she had previously filled in for Meredith Vieira on The View early on in her LIVE! career and mad a bit of a mistake. Ripa recalled:

“I have this earpiece in. We’re talking to ├óΓé¼ΓÇ£ and I can’t for the life of me remember who the celebrity was, because I freaked myself out so much ├óΓé¼ΓÇ£ but [the producers in my ear] said, ‘Kelly?’ And on the air I say out loud, ‘Yes?’ And they say, ‘Okay, don’t answer us out loud.’ And I say, ‘Okay, I’m sorry, I won’t [still out loud].’ “

Of course the blonde beauty is a professional so she caught on pretty quickly, but she says she still prefers the environment on her show. We guess there’s no place like home!
The 45-year-old went on to say:

Live is my daytime home. That is where I am the most comfortable, that allows me the freedom to do other projects, and raise my children, and be able to show up for all of their practices, and all of their extra curricular stuff. It’s been a blessing for me as a working mother to be able to have stability, to be able to raise my children in one place their whole lives.”

As for all the drama that’s been all over the news, Kelly said:

“I don’t think of anybody as a monster or out to get me.”

Though we STILL don’t know who will be replacing the athlete as cohost, we do know that Jimmy Kimmel, Fred Savage, Seal, and Andy Cohen are all set to guest host!
Will you be tuning into Michael’s final show today?!
