If you build it, he will come!
And by “build it,” we mean hold a 25th anniversary celebration for the classic film Field of Dreams, and by “he,” we mean Kevin Costner!
This weekend, the actor and plenty of other stars made their way to Iowa to celebrate the iconic sports flick, and there were PLENTY of activities to last the whole weekend!
Bands such as the Gin Blossoms, Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, and even Kevin’s very own band Modern West performed!
The actor spoke out about the movie and said he’s surprised it still resonates to this day:
“I’m glad to be here with friends and old acquaintances and making some new ones, and for my children to be a part of this. It’s certainly a high mark for me, this little movie, and it remains so.”
The weekend also consisted of celebrity soft ball games, Q&As with some of the cast, and of course a screening of the movie that brought everyone there in the first place!
Talk about an awesome way to spend Father’s Day weekend!
