Sad, sad.
Kevin Zegers, one of Cory Monteith’s friends and final co-stars, recently opened up to Bello magazine about the Glee star’s tragic passing.
It turns out Kevin was in Vancouver when news broke of Cory├óΓé¼Γäós accidental overdose — he said:
“There was a group of us who were there for the whole finding out up until now, and it’s been very, very strange.”
The actor revealed that he’d even brought back some of Cory’s ashes on his return to Los Angeles. He explained:
├óΓé¼┼ôHe├óΓé¼Γäós probably the closest person I├óΓé¼Γäóve ever lost… It was a heavy and weird month. Cory was the nicest man I knew. It├óΓé¼Γäós a f***ing horrible disease.├óΓé¼┬¥
Kevin, clearly still trying to make sense of the event, added:
├óΓé¼┼ôBy the grace of God, I├óΓé¼Γäóm not dead… I think it├óΓé¼Γäós something that constantly reveals itself as something that happens to people who, for whatever reason, don├óΓé¼Γäót get well, and it was by no lack of him trying or anyone else trying to help him get well. Eventually, your body just says, ├óΓé¼╦£No, it├óΓé¼Γäós enough.├óΓé¼Γäó But it doesn├óΓé¼Γäót make it any less sad or tragic. I think the problem people had was that he looked healthy and he never showed the struggles he was having.├óΓé¼┬¥
Just horrible.
Kevin, it sounds like you were a wonderful friend.
