Kim & Kourtney Kardashian Return To Armenia To Baptize Their Kids!

Kourtney Kardashian Kim Kardashian Armenia baptism

Kim Kardashian West and big sis Kourtney Kardashian are heading back to their roots — with their children in tow — for a very special and significant rite of passage!

The reality TV stars are proud Armenian-Americans, of course, and so this weekend the group made the trek back to the proverbial homeland for a religious affair they won’t soon forget! Kim, Kourtney, and the kids — North, SaintChicagoPsalmMasonReign, and Penelope — touched down Sunday in Yerevan, the capital city of Armenia, for a round of baptisms.

According to Armenian cultural tradition, the person getting baptized is to wear all white. So based on pics from Yerevan obtained by TMZ on Monday morning (see ’em HERE), that would appear to mean Saint, Chicago, Psalm, Reign, and Mason are all set to take part in the ceremony!

As you likely know, North has already been baptized — she was christened back in 2015 in Jerusalem. And as for the seventh child, Penelope, she was spotted in Yerevan wearing a purple dress, which would seem to indicate she is not being baptized this week, though it’s not immediately clear to us if (or when) she may have previously gone through the ceremony.

Or if she’s going to do a Cher-like quick change first.

Regardless, good for these two observant mommas for taking the kids back to the homeland for such a special occasion!

Armenian culture and history has long been important to the Kardashians, even as their public profiles have continued to rise in American celebrity culture. Plus, it’s always good to see a family — any family — getting back to their roots. Can’t hate it!

It is interesting to note the intersection of faith within the KUWTK fam’s collective lives, too, especially as time goes on. Not only are things like this important within their Armenian cultural history, but Kim’s hubby is no stranger himself to very public explorations of faith. In fact, it’s kind of interesting Kanye West doesn’t appear to be involved in these baptisms in some way, at least based on what we can tell! It’s a safe bet to assume something like this must be very important to him, too!

Anyways, what do y’all think about all this, Perezcious readers?! Never a bad thing to travel back to the ancestral homeland… especially for something as meaningful and special as this, right?! Sound OFF with your opinions on everything in the comments (below)…
