Lily Allen Looks Queenly & Gorgeous For The Cover Of Marie Claire! Purple Reign!

no title
Bow down!
Lily Allen looks more high-fashion than ever on the cover of Marie Claire Mexico’s November issue.
With an elaborately detailed dress and her tiara all askew, she projects the vibe of a reluctant princess!
If Lorde‘s video for Royals had a more conventional theme, this is how we would imagine the 17-year-old to be styled, for example.
And it must be said that the contrast between Lily’s fair skin, red lips, and purple/magenta hair is also quite hypnotizing. Honestly, we could stare at this cover for hours!
The entire spread is truly beautiful, with Lily sporting even more regal-looking attire from Dolce & Gabbana, Tory Burch, and Jean Paul Gaultier.

Lily’s accompanying interview was also full of wisdom. Read on for the HIGHlights!

On celebrity culture: “I think the way that we consume celebrities is pretty disgusting.”
On her need for control: “I am so controlling, I don’t like handing over the control of my career to other people so I have to do it myself.”
On her relationship with her husband: “I speak with him (her husband) more when I’m away than when I’m at home. I think if you can’t keep remaining yourself everyday why you are in love with that person and if you don’t see them, you can forget , so I think you have to keep up the communication.”
On honesty: “I try to be as honest with myself as I possible can be and hope that comes across with my music.”
On pissing people off: “If you are not pissing people off then you are not doing it right.”├óΓé¼ΓÇ╣
On selfies: “Taking selfies is not how you really look like, is what you want other people to think you look like. That’s what I try to apply to my music; not to take selfies.”
On survival: “My mother had to fight all the time to survive and I guess that is something I learned from her: If you want something you just gotta go and get it, none is going to give it to you.”

That’s actually a really good point about selfies!
