Forget Dancing with the Stars, now Maksim Chmerkovskiy is sh*tting on the stars!
The 34-year-old hottie who announced yesterday that he was QUITTING the uber-popular ABC series is going out with a slam!
Maks sat down with Andy Cohen on last night’s Watch What Happens Live to discuss his departure from DWTS. When asked why he was exiting the dance floor for good, he explained:
“I saw that there were a lot of changes last season. I took a year off. I skipped two seasons and I came back. I personally fell in love with the show. It’s not something I need to say now that I’m not even part of it, but it’s definitely amazing entertainment. I do think it needs to stay on. I’m a big supporter of anything dance related. And I think it’s brilliant. My problem is that we’re running out of legitimate celebrities. That’s the problem.├óΓé¼┬¥
Oof. Take that, Hollywood!
Chmerkovskiy won the reality dance competition for the first time last season with his partner, Olympic ice dancer Meryl Davis.
We wonder if Maks considers her a big enough star to be on the show??
Of course, the topic of Jennifer Lopez HAD to come up and Andy asked Maks about his and J. Lo’s relationship! Mr. Cohen heard from Jenny’s BFF Leah Remini that they were NOT dating! But what did Maks have to say about the possible love affair?
He smiled and said:
“[Leah’s] the authority on everything J.Lo, so we should listen.”
Well, shoot. If he’s not hanging out with Jennifer, then who IS Maks spending his nights with??
We’ll tell you one thing, it ain’t his former dance partner Kirstie Alley!
Now that Maks has become buddy-buddy with Leah, sources say Kirstie has BANNED him from ever speaking to her again!
Maks sort of confirmed those rumors last night, admitting:
“She stopped getting along with me. No, I think the world of her. I’m not judging people by their religion. I’m Jewish and you know, I don’t really believe in science fiction, but whatever. You know, we had a great relationship. I thought we had a great relationship. If it were something else or not, I don’t know. But I got a message that now that I am associating with other people that she can’t be associated with. I am no longer to be spoken with. Sorry, but it is what it is├óΓé¼┬ª I love people. I don’t judge them. My best friend is Muslim, Tony. I don’t condone anybody’s religion. I don’t judge anybody by their religious beliefs. I just feel like, you know it’s sad that we’ve gone through so much together and I feel like I’ve helped her and this is where we’re at now. But I still think the world of her. I wish her all the best.├óΓé¼┬¥
