We were already into Mariah’s World when we thought it was going to be about Mariah Carey‘s love life with billionaire James Packer, but we’re actually preferring this Bryan Tanaka edit so much more!
As you may remember, producers were forced to switch up the show last minute when Mimi called things off with her financially sound fianc├â┬⌐… but now we’re not so sure that wasn’t the plan all along.

That’s because in a preview of this Sunday’s all-new episode, a still-engaged Mariah celebrates her 40-something’th birthday — or her “anniversary,” as she likes to call it — where current boo Bryan surprises her by jumping out of a cake.
The backup dancer then goes on to show off his Magic Mike stripper moves for the birthday girl before getting champagne poured on him by the elusive chanteuse herself!
Let’s just say: We can see why things didn’t work out with James…
