Meghan Markle Uses Her Pussy Power For Good By Penning A Powerful Essay About The Stigma Surrounding Menstruation!

Meghan Markle is such an inspiration.
On International Women’s Day (March 8), Prince Harry‘s girlfriend penned a powerful essay for Time about the global shame surrounding menstruation. And the Suits actress can speak about the cause first hand as she traveled to India with World Vision back in January, where she witnessed how the stigma affected young girls from pursuing an education.

Miz Markle wrote:

“One hundred and thirteen million adolescent girls between the ages of 12-14 in India alone are at risk of dropping out of school because of the stigma surrounding menstrual health. During my time in the field, many girls shared that they feel embarrassed to go to school during their periods, ill equipped with rags instead of pads, unable to participate in sports, and without bathrooms available to care for themselves, they often opt to drop out of school entirely.”

How awful. To make matters worse, Meghan revealed that due to the “taboo nature of the subject,” menstrual health isn’t even being discussed with these young girls at home. The 35-year-old continued:

“Furthermore, with minimal dialogue about menstrual health hygiene either at school or home due to the taboo nature of the subject, many girls believe their bodies are purging evil spirits, or that they are injured once a month; this is a shame-filled reality they quietly endure. All of these factors perpetuate the cycle of poverty and stunt a young girl’s dream for a more prolific future.”

Well said. And, according to the humanitarian, if a young woman skips school every time she has her period she’ll be behind her male classmates by 145 days.
Not to mention, if these female youths choose to drop out they’re “increasing their subjection to dangerous work, susceptibility to being victims of violence, and most commonly, being conditioned for early childhood marriage.” Intense stuff.
Thankfully, there is a solution to this problem. Meghan noted that not only is there a need for menstrual health initiatives, but young girls also simply need access to toilets and sanitary pads.
We can only imagine how proud Prince Harry is of his lady right now, because we know we are. Way to ooze pussy power, girl!
