Meghan McCain Wants To Stay On 'The View' -- But There Are 'Things That Need To Change'!

Meghan McCain isn’t down for the count just yet!
As we reported, sources said the conservative commentator was considering leaving The View due to feeling emotionally exhausted from being the “sacrificial Republican” on the panel day after day.
This news was no surprise to viewers, who have grown accustomed to seeing John McCain’s daughter getting into huge blowout fights with other panelists — particularly Joy Behar — that typically end with Meghan whining about how she’s being persecuted because she’s not a liberal.
The constant drama and subsequent social media backlash is said to have left the 34-year-old “exhausted and defeated” and “feeling like a caged animal.”

Yet, despite all that, Meg would apparently still like to remain on the ABC program for another season — as long as some big changes are made! A source explained to the tabloids:

“She is still in talks and would like to return. There are some things that need to change. Meghan feels constantly attacked.”

Yeah, we been knew.

McCain made her thoughts on the panel’s allegedly unfair dynamic clear during an explosive fight with Behar last month, during which she cried:

“You know what, Joy? I really come here every day open-minded just tryin’ to explain it. And it’s not a fun job for me every day.”

But it is a good job, as the TV personality ended that argument with a meme-worthy message:

“Don’t feel bad for me, bitch, I’m paid to do this!”

It’s unclear what changes McCain thinks should be made, but it likely has something to do with the other panelists.
And we’re not just talking about Joy…

Sunny Hostin on The View

The original report from The Daily Beast detailed a number of press leaks calling out Meg’s alleged bad behavior on set. It also noted that the conservative’s camp believes the leaks are coming from co-host Sunny Hostin (above).
According to an insider, Hostin is lovely on air, but quick to talk trash and pull mean girl tactics behind Meghan’s back. ABC News officials aren’t falling for these rumors, though, as a rep said in a statement:

“As evident on The View, Sunny, an award-winning journalist and former federal prosecutor, never holds back and freely shares any and all opinions she has. She’s been a terrific addition to the table, a fierce and passionate advocate who brings smart and insightful analysis to every debate and discussion on the show. It’s been an incredible season, and we look forward to having her at the co-host table for an epic year ahead.”

Sounds like they have Sunny’s back!
Despite the supportive statement, however, a source claimed network insiders are still looking into Hostin “because they believe she is leaking damaging information,” adding:

“They believe there are eyewitnesses and texts that can corroborate this.”

Inneresting…
Senior executive producer Hilary Estey McLoughlin thinks otherwise. She said:

“I don’t think Sunny is the leak. I don’t think anyone who is working on the show could be that overtly doing something that’s potentially problematic for their own careers.”

Especially a former federal prosecutor.
A rep for Hostin, meanwhile, dismissed the “absurd” rumors that she’s the one leaking Meghan’s dirty laundry to press, insisting:

“This is absurd, and I’m not surprised the source is anonymous, since defamation is actionable.”

If Meghan does come back next season, it’s safe to assume she’ll have yet another nemesis on the panel.
