We previously mentioned that Miley Cyrus and her mama Tish were doing some tweeting to help out NYC carriage horses.
Lots of people were so glad to see her showing so much concern for NYC’s horses.
Though not everyone was happy… like the Carriage Operators of North America (CONA)!!
Tommy Doyle, who is on the Board of Directors for CONA, defended his industry, saying there is no horse abuse and then asked:
“How many times has Miley spent with working horses? Does she even know what a healthy horse looks like? Has she been in the barn to see these animals?”
He said that Miley has a standing invitation to come visit his business anytime and see for herself that his horses are healthy.
Even though they’re forced to work long hours, in close proximity with cars and exhaust and things like that.
We still think Miley did the right thing.
