Don’t rule out Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth just yet!
As we reported, the Mother’s Daughter singer and the Hunger Games actor called it quits less than a year after getting married in December 2018. Per Us Weekly, she “was the one who ended things” — as the duo “haven’t been together for months.”

However, according to a People report published on Tuesday, the musician is not planning to file for divorce any time soon — as the couple might possibly get back together!
One source close to the actress revealed:
“They are having a break right now because they needed it. It was a bad situation with a lot of disagreements… They both agreed it’s better to spend time apart, but this doesn’t mean their relationship is completely over.”
The insider also noted the pair have previously “been in similar situations” and “found their way back together again.”
“They are great together when they are happy… There is absolutely hope that they will get back together again.”
On Saturday, Cyrus’ rep confirmed the split with the following statement to People:
“Liam and Miley have agreed to separate at this time. Ever-evolving, changing as partners and individuals, they have decided this is what’s best while they both focus on themselves and careers. They still remain dedicated parents to all of their animals they share while lovingly taking this time apart. Please respect their process and privacy.”
That day, Miley was photographed kissing Brody Jenner‘s ex, Kaitlynn Carter, in Italy.
On Sunday on Instagram, the starlet seemingly addressed the breakup drama by writing:
“Don’t fight evolution, because you will never win. Like the mountain I am standing on top of , which was once under water , connected with Africa , change is inevitable. The Dolomites were not created over night, it was over millions of years that this magnificent beauty was formed. My dad always told me ‘Nature never hurries but it is always on time’…. it fills my heart with peace and hope KNOWING that is true. I was taught to respect the planet and its process and I am committed to doing the same with my own ….'”
Despite what was reported by Daily Mail Australia, Chris Hemsworth‘s brother released an official statement on Monday slamming “false” quotes attributed to him. He penned:
“Hi all
Just a quick note to say that Miley and I have recently separated and I wish her nothing but health and happiness going forward.
This is a private matter and I have not made, nor will I be making, any comments to any journalists or media outlets. Any reported quotes attributed to me are false.
Peace and Love.”
