Miley Cyrus Speaks Out After Liam Hemsworth Files For Divorce

Miley Cyrus is breaking her silence.

In the day following Liam Hemsworth‘s divorce filing, the Wrecking Ball singer has taken to Twitter to clear up any confusion regarding their former union.

In the lengthy diatribe (probably to all the *insiders* speaking out), the former Hannah Montana star says her relationship with the actor DID NOT end because of cheating.

In case you forgot — but really, who would — Miley was spotted with Brody Jenner‘s ex Kaitlynn Carter making out on a boat in Italy the same day the former OTPs issued a statement on their amicable split. As fans were all shocked to hear the decade-long relationship was dunzo, a lot has come to light since then.

Miley released a song which clearly references her love downfall, and blames it on partying / drifting apart from her partner.

In the song, she sings:

“Don’t want the whiskey and pills / I don’t give up easily / but I don’t think I’m down.”

Yerppppp.

AND since vacationing together, Miley and Kait have been seen all over Los Angeles — even “basically having sex” on the dance floor at an exclusive West Hollywood spot.

A keen observer told Page Six what went down (below):

“They were obsessed with each other. They couldn’t keep their hands off each other. They were kissing and making out everywhere. In the bathroom, at the bar, in the middle of the floor. They were basically having sex. There’s no question they’re together. They were making out all over the place, and didn’t care who saw.”

Close pals of the pair have also uncovered Brody, Kait, Miley, and Liam used to hang out all the time pre-breakup… And Carter would lean on Cyrus when things with her husband would turn sour.
