Brody Jenner & Kaitlynn Carter 'Would Always Hang Out' With Miley Cyrus & Liam Hemsworth Before Their Splits!

It turns out there’s a longer history between Brody Jenner, Kaitlynn Carter, Miley Cyrus, and Liam Hemsworth than originally thought!

The two former couples may have broken off their respective relationships in short order over the past few weeks — and started a new fling, a la Miley and Kaitlynn — but as it turns out, this group is more connected than we knew! In fact, to hear Jenner’s costars on The Hills tell it, this was quite the fearsome foursome right up until this month’s major dramas!

The Hills stars Jason and Ashley Wahler caught up with the folks at Access Hollywood over the weekend to dish about the hit MTV show, but in doing so, they shared another little tidbit which caught our attention.

When asked about the downfall of Jenner and Carter’s relationship, Ashley shared some intel on the A-listers, too, confirming an interesting fact about the couples having been very tight together for a long time (below):

“I have had a lot of conversations with Kaitlynn during the season and her and Miley and Liam and Brody would always hang out together. So I know they’ve been friends for a long time. Well, they’ve been friends for a really long time.”

Suddenly, the girlfriends’ little fling together makes a bit more sense, if only because they had some kind of (more platonic?) connection for a while there when both couples were going strong.

Those old double dates must be a bit awkward to look back on now, though! Ha!!!

BTW, you can add Ashley to the list of people who pretty much knew things were in the toilet for Brody and Kaitlynn long before their actual breakup took place. The reality TV star shared her own (respectful!) opinion about her costars’ failed relationship in the same interview (below):

“Definitely, I hate to say definitely, because I respect everybody’s relationship. But I will say, there were a lot of things that people did not get to see, that happened on camera, that they didn’t necessarily show. I think everybody in the cast kind of knew that it was not gonna work out. It was rocky for sure.”

Now we’re just curious about what we didn’t get to see!!!
