For the most part, fans loved the third season of Stranger Things (especially when compared to the most recent season of a certain pop culture phenomenon we won’t name here), but one person wasn’t impressed with the ending: series star Millie Bobby Brown!
In a new interview with Elle magazine, the 15-year old said she was “pissed” about how the latest string of episodes ended for telekinetic teen El — who [SPOILERS] moved away from Hawkins, Indiana with Joyce (Winona Ryder), Will (Noah Schnapp), and Jonathan Byers (Charlie Heaton) after her parental figure Detective Hopper (David Harbour) *seemingly* died (lol, yeah right) in a lab explosion.
Parentally speaking, Joyce’s decision to remove her children far away from the supernaturally plagued town is a good idea. Sure, it was sad to see the gang split up — but, we mean, this is the THIRD TIME an otherworldly predator has tried to destroy them.

But MBB doesn’t see it that way. Like a true teenager, she’s mostly concerned Eleven won’t get to hang out with her boyfriend and their friends.
Recalling how it felt when she read the season finale script, the British actress said:
“I was p****d. I read the script and I was like, ‘What, how is this even possible? Why are they moving away?’ They were like ‘Didn’t you read episode 3?’ And I was like, ‘Oh yeah.’ …Because Joyce said she wanted to move away from Hawkins. I don’t know, I just felt really against it.”
Can’t always get what you want, El!
The starlet also said she and her costars — Schnapp, Gaten Matarazzo, Finn Wolfhard, Caleb McLaughlin, and Sadie Sink — were crying real tears when they filmed the “too real” scene of the gang splitting up in the final episode, revealing:
“We all started crying and then they rolled camera and said action. And that was it. We all started saying goodbye to each other. We felt too real.”
That’s how you know when a cast actually likes each other!

Millie (and fans) can rest easy, though, because the Netflix show has recently been renewed for season four after the last one became the streamer’s highest watched series release.
Some things still need to be figured out, of course — like whether or not Hopper actually survived that scary underground explosion.

Harbour, for his part, is apparently just as in the dark as the rest of us. During a recent appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers, the actor straight-up called the Duffer Brothers to demand answers about his character’s “death” — to which co-creator Ross Duffer said:
“I mean, we’re still figuring it out, David.”
Ha!
Watch (below).
Sounds like Millie’s not the only one upset about season three’s ending!
How did you feel about it??
