Our hearts are all warm after reading this!
The Milwaukee Brewers have been toting a new mascot around with them recently: Hank the dog!
This furry pup wandered into the Brewers’ complex on February 17th, and he’s stuck around ever since!
Initially, some employees took him to the vet, where they were told that he was probably run over, due to gray markings, and that he also had a tail injury. So they nursed him back to health, and took him to Spring Training in Arizona!
At the vet, they also found out that Hank – named after Hank Aaron – is about two years old, and his breed is unknown but they think he├óΓé¼Γäós a Bichon Frise mix.
Don’t worry though, the organization has put up tons of signs and made it known that they’re looking for the original owner!
In the meantime, this pup is living it up!
He eats scrambled eggs for breakfast and gets to stay at different employee’s homes every night, and you better believe there’s a waitlist!
Brewers’ owner Mark Attanasio talked about their new addition, saying:
“A number of different departments are vying for him. The players want him on the roster and to travel with the team. [General manager Doug] Melvin’s trying to get him into a baseball meeting later today.
We want to do what’s right for the team. I think he’s really an asset.”
Ha! Well, whatever happens, we’re just glad that this precious pup is in good hands now!
