And therein the April 2013 issue of Elle, feisty Nicki Minaj delivers the law on the golden respect-commanding truth.

Specifically applicable to women, we find the wisdom beneficial to ANYONE needing a confidence boost.

She tells the mag:

“My advice to women in general: Even if you├óΓé¼Γäóre doing a nine-to-five job, treat yourself like a boss. Not arrogant, but be sure of what you want, and don├óΓé¼Γäót allow people to run anything for you without your knowledge. You want everyone to know, ‘Okay, I can├óΓé¼Γäót play games with her. I have to do right by this woman.’ That├óΓé¼Γäós what it├óΓé¼Γäós all about.”

Preach it, Nicki!!

No arrogance needed, just voluminous self-respect for yourself! And in turn, that will become the same for those around you.

Nicki’s take-charge attitude has already earned her a HIIIIGH spot on the ladder (from her insanely popular music to her spot as a judge on American Idol), but she’s reaching even farther, telling Elle her plans for the future:

“My goal in the beginning was to buy my mother a house. Now I realize, ‘Okay, if I really focus and become a key player in business, then I can build an empire.’ I├óΓé¼Γäóm thinking of a legacy that I can be proud of and wealth that my grandchildren can use to go to college. So world domination — in terms of providing for my family — is absolutely my goal.”
