Nicola Peltz‘s wedding day was a disaster — all thanks to Victoria Beckham?!
It’s no secret that there is a lot of drama with the Beckhams at the moment. While some insiders say the current tension stems from Romeo dating his brother Brooklyn‘s ex, Kim Turnbull, others argue the family’s relationship is rocky because of Nicola — and their issues go all the way back to when she tied the knot with the Cloud23 founder in 2022.
You may remember that the Transformers: Age of Extinction actress was feuding with Victoria around that time. Posh Spice reportedly was upset with Nicola because she did not wear a custom dress from her brand for the wedding. However, the Lola director denied the rumors multiple times. She claimed Victoria was simply unable to make the gown and that there was no beef between them.

Insiders have claimed that isn’t true, though! They were apparently fighting during the wedding — and not only because of the dress issue but because Nicola was “absolutely foul” to Victoria and other family members. Yikes. We’ve heard since then that The Last Airbender star has a mean-girl reputation. But was Nicola the only one causing problems at the ceremony? According to a source for People, there is more to the wedding drama story. Here’s what reportedly happened!
So, the Beckham’s longtime friend Marc Anthony was asked to perform at the reception as a gift. The young couple wanted to dance together to one of his songs. However, Victoria stole the bride’s first dance! What?! The People source explained on Thursday:
“Marc Anthony, who is a friend of the Beckhams, offered to perform as a gift at the wedding. Before the song began, Marc Anthony asked Brooklyn to come to the stage, and then announced, ‘The most beautiful woman in the room tonight, come on up…Victoria Beckham!'”
Oh man… Marc…
Why didn’t he stick with the plan? Did Victoria put him up to this?? Was it a way to get back at Nicola? What a messed up thing to do on someone’s wedding day, if the report is true.
The insider said the heiress “felt that Victoria ruined her wedding, and couldn’t understand why.” Perhaps it has something to do with the dress debacle? Who knows? Another source noted the whole room was stunned when Marc called Victoria’s name instead of Nicola’s, adding:
“It was such a jaw-dropping moment that it left the whole room in absolute shock — you could hear a pin drop.”
Attendees’ jaws even remained on the floor when Victoria started slow dancing with Brooklyn! The second source noted that “it wasn’t appropriate.” What’s worse? It upset his wife — a lot. Everyone watched “Nicola run from the room crying.” Oh, no!! The insider continued:
“Nicola felt like Victoria did this on purpose, when she knew it was a pre-planned romantic dance meant for Brooklyn and Nicola. What she couldn’t understand was why.”
Oof. Victoria should have put her problems with Nicola aside — if not for the 30-year-old, then for her son. It wasn’t fair to hijack their special moment!
A third source pointed out that the dance drama is part of a cycle in the ongoing rift. Nicola and Brooklyn try to remain on good terms with Victoria and David Beckham, but they keep ending up in the same place — feuding. The insider shared:
“They’ve tried to make peace, but every time they finally have a happy moment, it all falls apart again. Brooklyn feels torn. It’s his family and blood, but he’s always had a complicated relationship with his dad. A lot of their relationship has felt like ‘business.’”
Nicola even thinks David is “narcissistic” and treats Brooklyn poorly, while Victoria sits back and does nothing to stop it. And the soccer star’s actions are reportedly only half of the problem! This family seems to be quarreling over everything these days — the wedding, Nicola’s behavior, Romeo’s love life, you name it! There’s seemingly no end to the dispute in sight since no one wants to make the first move to mend the fences. Do they even want to mend things at all at this point? Has too much happened for the Beckham family to reconcile?
One thing we know is if Nicola and Brooklyn ever renew their vows and have a party afterward, make sure Victoria doesn’t steal their slow dance again! That’s if the family makes up by that point, and the pair invite the fashion designer!
