Nicola Peltz Beckham would like the drama to stop already!
In the latest cover story for Cosmopolitan out on Tuesday, Brooklyn Beckham’s wife bashed feud rumors with her mother-in-law Victoria Beckham and addressed the ongoing lawsuit following her highly-publicized wedding!
If you haven’t been keeping up with the Beckhams, rumors quickly spread about a confrontation between Brooklyn’s wife and mother after the couple’s April wedding. As the speculation goes, the Spice Girls alum was reportedly pissed off that Nicola didn’t wear one of her dresses for the big day. But Nicola has claimed it was actually Victoria who backed out of the special moment since her atelier couldn’t work on the project. Despite trying to shut down the feud rumors (including by sharing several Instagram posts with the singer), the speculation continues to catch fire online. So much so, the model is trying to end the commentary for good!

According to the 28-year-old, she just doesn’t understand why everyone thinks she has issues with the fashion designer — because apparently, it’s all fake news! She told Cosmo:
“I’ve said this so many times: There’s no feud. I don’t know. No one ever wants to write the nice things. It’s really weird, actually, whether it’s my life or someone else’s life or whatever, when you know the truth and then you read something totally wrong.”
In September, the Welcome to Chippendales star got incredibly candid about the controversy, telling Grazia:
“Well, I was planning on wearing Victoria’s wedding dress and I was truly so excited to be able to wear a design that my future mother-in-law created. I thought that was so beautiful and such a beautiful story.”
She began to design the Victoria Beckham gown with her friend and stylist Leslie Fremar and her mother Claudia, but things didn’t go as planned, she recalled:
“I thought, ‘Oh, this is going to be so fun. One of my best friends and my mom.’ We connected to start designing the dress, and then a few days went by and I didn’t hear anything. Victoria called my mom and said her atelier couldn’t make it. So, I spoke to my mom and Leslie, and I was like, ‘Well, unfortunately, this can’t happen, so what’s the next step?’ I’ve been a fan of Valentino and their couture for so long. I was really lucky to be able to travel to [the atelier] to try on the dress. That’s really what happened.”
No matter how much she has tried to insist she has no bad blood with her in-laws, including David Beckham, the internet just hasn’t bought it yet. On the constant stream of hate she receives on socials, Nicola told Cosmopolitan:
“I feel like all the mean words that people hear in high school, I read on my Instagram.”
Not all of this hate stems from the Victoria feud, either…

Nicola is also wrapped up in a big lawsuit after firing her wedding planners, Nicole Braghin and Arianna Grijalba. Last December, Nicola’s billionaire father Nelson Peltz filed a lawsuit against the planners, per People, who were hired six weeks before the ceremony, but let go after just nine days. He claimed he didn’t get his $159,000 deposit back. The pair clapped back with a countersuit against the billionaire, citing a breach of contract, and named Nicola and her mother as third-party defendants. Now, the Peltz family is asking for Nicola and Claudia to be removed from the lawsuit since they weren’t involved in the contract. Seems Nicola keeps finding herself in various so-called feuds…
All of this media attention has been a lot for the rising star to handle, and she’s asking her followers to stop making assumptions about her based on the news, she declared:
“I just wish people knew me before they judged me. And it sucks, because I wish I could respond to every person, being like, ‘That’s not true. That’s not true. That’s not true.’ But then obviously, you have to block it out. You can’t let everything affect you. Otherwise, it would be a spiral.”
