Nicole Kidman worked herself SICK on the set of her latest show!
During an interview with People published on Wednesday, Nick Offerman opened up about filming Margo’s Got Money Troubles with the Oscar-winning actress… and the one fateful day of filming that landed her in the hospital! Nick revealed that the day he was supposed to shoot a “huge set piece” with Nicole, star Elle Fanning, and “hundreds of extras,” the Big Little Lies actress came down with a nasty bug:
“We’re there in the morning, we’re getting warmed up — some of us are going to be performing some actual wrestling, and so we have our doubles, we have people we’re working with. And the word comes in that Nicole has the flu, and we might not get Nicole today. And we’re like, ‘Oh no, that’s such a bummer, because we only have the one day that we’ve built this whole circus for.’”
What a sticky situation! He continued:
“It’s about 8:00 in the morning that we get this news. Come to be about 11:00 a.m., the word comes in: Nicole’s coming.”
Nick revealed the Being the Ricardos actress arrived “so sick” — looking “so pale” and “shaken” with a “really bad” case of the flu. But the Aussie native “showed up and made sure that we got every shot of her, total superhero style, did everything we needed to so that we did not lose one scrap of what we needed for her character.”

What a pro! But it sounds like Nicole pushed herself just a tad too far, because The Last of Us actor said she “was literally taken to the hospital for an IV.”
Oh damn!!!
The Parks and Recreation alum added:
“And I just said to her, ‘I already admired you so much,’ but this is how you get to be Nicole Kidman, is you show up so that your show doesn’t lose a minute of your value. It was so generous. It was astonishing.”

Nicole previously told People she underwent rigorous training to prepare for the scene because she was “so scared about getting injured.” But she ultimately just went full throttle:
“When I got in the ring, I just went, ‘Okay, let’s go.’ ‘Because whenever I do something, I go, ‘Okay, I’ve gotta be really careful,’ and then I just forget about any sort of protection in my body, and I go crazy.”
She credited Nick at the time, who “had [her] covered.”
“I would love to do more wrestling.”
