Michigan Governor Passes Bill That May Allow Wolves To Be Hunted! Boo!

wolves
Seriously?
The governor of Michigan is obviously not a Wolverine fan as he’s totally OK’d a bill that will allow the hunting of the gray wolf.
Not too long ago – the species was nearly driven to extinction, but since then has experienced something of a resurgence.
Feelings about wolves divide the public. Some feel they’re a nuisance that prey on farm animals, while others respect their unfiltered wildness.
Here’s what Governor Rick Snyder said:

“This action helps ensure sound scientific and biological principles guide decisions about management of game in Michigan. Scientifically managed hunts are essential to successful wildlife management and bolstering abundant, healthy and thriving populations.”

The bill will allow huntsmen to murder about seven percent of the wolf population. There’s a total of less than seven hundred wolves in the wolf heavy region of Michigan!
One wolf supporter says this bill will have devastating consequences. They said:

“Hunting would unavoidably break up packs, the vast majority of which are not in conflict with farmers.”

Why you trying to break up the pack, Rick?
Please don’t allow merciless killing just because this species isn’t endangered anymore.
Because if you keep this up – they will be back in danger in a very short period of time!!!
