Is there love in the air again between Jason Sudeikis and Olivia Wilde???
As Perezcious readers will recall, the former couple was NOT in a good place last year after they were at the center of multiple scandals. While their co-parenting relationship seemed solid following their split , their nasty custody battle over their daughter Daisy and son Otis was exposed in April when Olivia got served papers while onstage at CinemaCon — in front of thousands of industry execs. Jason insisted he had “no prior knowledge” of the ambush, but the Booksmart director called BS on that! She told Variety at the time:
“It was really upsetting. It shouldn’t have been able to happen. There was a huge breach in security, which is really scary. The hurdles that you had to jump through to get into that room with several badges, plus special COVID tests that had to be taken days in advance, which gave you wristbands that were necessary to gain access to the event – this was something that required forethought.”

Amid their legal battle, Olivia was not only dealing with intense public scrutiny about the Don’t Worry Darling drama, including her rumored feud with Florence Pugh, but her former nanny decided to drop several bombshell accusations about the bitter end of her relationship with Jason. (To make matters worse, they’re currently in a massive legal battle with the same nanny. It has been a whole mess!) And as we mentioned, the two were not civil with each other for a good while. We mean, they weren’t even speaking to each other at one point!
However, things appeared to change between them months later. The pair seemed to be in a better place when they were caught being super friendly and hugging each other in Los Angeles back in January. This led some people to wonder: what’s going on between these two now? Did they work things out? Are they possibly getting back together despite their previous problems? Olivia is no longer with Harry Styles, so she would be free to rekindle her romance with Jason…
But for those still shipping them, we hate to break it to you — that is apparently not the case! Not currently, anyway. An insider insisted to Dailymail.com on Thursday that Jason and Olivia are “very single” and are not pursuing a romantic relationship with each other. Instead, the insider noted that they are working on their “friendship”:
“Jason and Olivia are on very good terms and have become friends again.”
Hey, glad to hear it! As for their custody battle? The source noted the exes have worked past the chaos of last year in order to improve their co-parenting relationship and “do not have any drama anymore,” explaining:
“Olivia and Jason have resolved any past issues and tension that was caused by their split. They are in constant communication via phone calls and text messages and keep each other up to date on anything involving their kids, whether it be appointments, or their schooling. Most importantly, they are happy in their own lives. This has made it so much easier for them to be on the same page and treat each other with respect.”
Maybe the nanny fight brought them back to a united front? We mean, at least they were able to put the resentment behind them and get back on better terms for the sake of their two kids! But who knows! Things could change again, and they could decide to explore a romantic reconciliation later on, too.
