King Charles III won’t take no for an answer!
There are just two months until the 74-year-old will be officially crowned on May 6, and his inner circle is doing everything they can to make sure the day is a dream come true for the monarch, including finding a way to get Prince Harry to agree to come! According to a new source close to the royal family who spoke with Entertainment Tonight on Thursday, Charles is desperate for his youngest son and grandchildren Archie and Lilibet to be in attendance for his celebratory moment. The insider shared:
“King Charles very much wants Prince Harry and his grandchildren at his coronation.”
Uhh, what about Meghan Markle!? Does he not want her to come??

A rep for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex confirmed earlier this month that the couple was formally invited, but they have not announced their decision yet. That said, officials are apparently planning for the ceremony as if the pair will be there. While things have been incredibly tense between the two parties ever since Harry’s memoir Spare hit bookshelves and the couple’s Netflix series Harry & Meghan dropped, the father is willing to put his anger aside if it means his family will be reunited for the ceremony. It’s pretty much the only thing he’s concerned about these days, the source continued:
“Despite any issues in the past or difficulties that have arisen based on what was released in Harry’s book, Charles loves his son. He wants both his children at his side for such a momentous occasion. The family wants the king to be happy and having his son travel from America for such a pivotal moment in his life will make Charles happy.”
We just know this must be pissing Prince William off so much! He’s gonna have to learn to keep his feelings in check if he truly wants the best for his pops, though! The confidant went on to insist the royal family will do everything in their power to ensure an amiable reunion should Harry (and Meghan?!) make the trip, saying:
“Harry will be welcomed by his family because it’s important to his father. There won’t be any outward signs of friction or attention on past family squabbles. Everyone wants to ensure the focus is on the coronation.”
Do they really expect us to believe there won’t be ANY “signs of friction”?!

The brothers can hardly be in the same room together without some kind of problem. While we (obviously) don’t expect them to start throwing punches at the event, surely there will be some cryptic suggestions of the feud bubbling between them, such as seating them far away from each other, as they’ve done in the past.
By the way, an “outward” appearance of peace isn’t exactly what Harry’s been begging for either. The Invictus Games founder has been outspoken about wanting a formal sit down with his brother and father to discuss some of his issues with The Firm before he’ll consider attending the coronation. While His Majesty and the Prince of Wales reportedly have no interest in this, they might have to reconsider if getting Harry to the UK is as much of a priority as it sounds! We’re not sure the 38-year-old is going to be okay with faking a reconciliation just for better press again!
But what do YOU think, Perezcious readers? Will this be enough to get the Cali residents to return to England for the festivities? Let us know (below)!
