Embarrassing! Princeton Mom Writes Letter Encouraging Girls To Marry Her Son!

embarrassing princeton mom writes letter encouraging students to date her son
Susan A. Patton is a proud mom, a proud Princetonian, and especially a proud mother of a Princetonian!
And as a mother of a Princeton man, she has some advice for the women of Princeton- MARRY A PRINCETON MAN!
Susan wrote a letter to the prestigious university’s newspaper, the Daily Princetonian, encouraging the female student body to throw their bodies onto the nearest male classmates they can find, and fast! She wrote:

“For most of you, the cornerstone of your future and happiness will be inextricably linked to the man you marry, and you will never again have this concentration of men who are worthy of you.”

Um, yeah, or maybe the cornerstone will be the career they make using the skills they learn at their Ivy League school?
Come on! We need women with opportunities like Princeton to actually become amazing glass-ceiling shattering heroes, not chasing an M.R.S. degree!
But Susan continues to make a well thought out- and we’re guessing mortifying- case for marrying men like her son ASAP! She writes:

“My younger son is a junior and the universe of women he can marry is limitless. Men regularly marry women who are younger, less intelligent, less educated.
It’s amazing how forgiving men can be about a woman’s lack of erudition, if she is exceptionally pretty. Smart women can’t (shouldn’t) marry men who aren’t at least their intellectual equal.
As Princeton women, we have almost priced ourselves out of the market… you will never again be surrounded by this concentration of men who are worthy of you.”

Well, it certainly sounds like this lady’s son is the biggest catch in the world and you’d be a fool not to try to land him while you can.
But we have a slightly different marriage philosophy. It’s called marrying the person you fall in love with and who completes your life!
That is, if the Supreme Court rules in your favor!
