Tina Fey and Amy Poehler absolutely SLAYED hosting the Golden Globes the past three years!
And in the time being, we weren’t sure if the Hollywood Foreign Press Association could find ANY suitable host to follow up the hilarious duo!

But we were wrong — it’s just been officially announced that Ricky Gervais will return to host the 2016 Golden Globes:

The controversial comedian has hosted the ceremony three times in the past — 2010, 2011, and 2012 — and rubbed many critics the wrong way by roasting the nominees a little too hard!
We are totally fine the Derek star’s edgy humor and think he is the perfect choice to liven up the stuffy award show — and it’s always fun watching celebs get made fun of!
