Roger Clemens Going Back On Trial For Perjury

Roger Clemens Going Back On Trial For Perjury

Roger Clemens

Despite the mistrial declared by a judge in July, Roger Clemens is going back to court to defend himself against perjury allegations for lying in a 2008 hearing that he never used steroids or other enhancement drugs.

Federal Judge Reggie Walton rejected ex-baseball pitcher’s request to toss the perjury charges against him and says he must face another trial on April 17.

Obviously, Clemens’ legal camp isn’t happy and has said, ├óΓé¼┼ôThis case should end. He├óΓé¼Γäós been put through enough.├óΓé¼┬¥

The proceedings were immediately stopped this past July after prosecutors “inadvertently” allowed jurors to see comments by U.S. Rep. Elijah E. Cummings during the 2008 hearing of which the charges stem from.
