Ronda Rousey Is Returning To The UFC... With A Title Match Scheduled Before The End Of The Year!

no title
She’s ready to take back her title.
It’s been nearly a year since Holly Holm upset the entire sports world by handing Ronda Rousey her first and only loss… but the mixed martial artist is already poised for a comeback.
That’s because UFC head Dana White just announced that Ronda will be taking on reigning champ Amanda Nunes this December to see who’s really the best that Bantamweight has to offer!

As part of UFC 207, Ronda and Amanda will be fighting it out in Las Vegas on Friday, December 30 — meaning only one of them will ring in the new year with that fancy belt by their side!
Dana shared the MMA update on FOX Sports 1 Wednesday afternoon, simply saying:

“[She had a] bad loss and lost her title… but she’s still Ronda Rousey at the end of the day.”

While we’re happy to hear the 29-year-old is healthy… we’re a little conflicted about who we’re rooting for.
Amanda just so happens to be the first openly gay athlete to win a UFC Championship, after all!
