Rory McIlroy is engaged… again!
It was about this time two years ago when we reported golfer Rory popped the question to tennis star Caroline Wozniacki. Fast forward to last week, rumors were swirling about a possible engagement between the 26-year-old Irishman and his girlfriend Erica Stoll.
Turns out… the rumors were true!
When the relationship with Wozniacki ended (over the phone! after they sent out invitations!) five months after their engagement, McIlroy cited not being “ready for all that marriage entails.”

Now it seems he’s more ready than ever, as he got down on one knee on a recent trip to Paris in front of the Eiffel Tower. Stoll confirmed that she said “yes” on Thursday night as she attended The Paddy Wallace Fund in Belfast with her future husband wearing a huge diamond on that finger!
The lovebirds started out as friends several years ago, as Stoll worked as the manager of Championship Volunteer Operations at the PGA of America. Although they made their first public appearance together in May at the Royal County Down, they have reportedly been dating for about a year.
In an interview with The Times of London earlier this year, McIlroy gushed:
“I am very happy in my love life. We haven’t really been putting it out there. She is from America, which is why I like to spend time in Palm Beach. The past six or seven months have been really nice. That part of my life is going great.”
Congratulations, you two!!! We hope you make plenty of little golfer babies!
