Tiger Woods totally flunked his field sobriety test, per Florida police.
As we’ve been following, the PGA star’s crash and arrest on Friday in Jupiter was a total nightmare. He got very lucky that no one was injured, and despite a breathalyzer test showing no alcohol in his system, cops reported he was “lethargic” the whole time. They suspected he was under the influence of drugs or medicine.
As we previously reported, Tiger was said to be limping due to an apparent leg injury and was even allegedly found with hydrocodone on his person — but now we have all the details of what his sobriety test really looked like.
According to an affidavit per TMZ on Tuesday, the golfer was sweating a lot, moving slowly while stumbling, and talking “thick tongued.” While performing a standard eye test, officials noted he had bloodshot and glassy eyes with dilated pupils and he lacked smooth tracking.
He was also unable to follow directions in a simple finger-to-nose test. He allegedly blinked at the wrong time, missed cues from deputies, and needed to be reminded what exactly he was supposed to be doing. On top of that, cops reported his eye was twitching slightly.
With the coordination tests, things only got worse, according to the affidavit. He was unable to count, he kept missing steps, and started some of the tests before police even finished the instructions. The legal docs claim the deputies had to correct him mid-test, too, because he counted incorrectly and wasn’t doing the required hand movements.
Based on all this information, the deputies believed Tiger’s “normal faculties were impaired and he was unable to safely operate the motor vehicle.” Damn… Sounds like Tiger was really struggling.
