Ryan Reynolds Changed The Script & Pitched Joking About The Blake Lively & Justin Baldoni Lawsuit At SNL 50!!

That Saturday Night Live joke was ALL Ryan Reynolds‘ idea! Jeez!

During the late-night show’s big SNL 50 special on Sunday, the Deadpool star made a splash by making light of his wife Blake Lively‘s legal battle against Justin Baldoni, joking when asked how he was doing:

“Great! Why? What have you heard?”

It was subtle, but an obvious reference to the ongoing legal trouble after Blake brought forth allegations of sexual harassment and retaliation against her It Ends With Us co-star and director.

Since the viral moment, folks have been trying to figure out if Blake was in on the joke considering she looked so shocked when the comment came out of her hubby’s mouth. Was it all improved? Or did he plan to say that the whole time? Finally, we’ve got the scoop!

SNL cue card holder Wally Feresten appeared on Tuesday’s episode of the Fifi, Fev, & Nick For Breakfast radio show and broke down that one-liner! When asked if the comment was improvised or not, the longtime SNL crew member spilled the tea:

“He had a different line in rehearsal and he pitched that to replace it, so that was his idea to do it. We wouldn’t want to do anything too controversial unless they were in on it. So, yeah, that was his line, that was his idea to do.”

Wow!!

Somehow, we’re not surprised Ryan chose to turn this all into a joke. After all, he allegedly did that by using his frustrations about Justin and pouring them into his Nicepool character in his latest Marvel movie. It’s just his thing, we guess.

The verdict is still out on Blake, though. We’d like to think Ryan wouldn’t suggest that kind of joke without her permission, but you never know.

Reactions, Perezcious readers? What do U think about this all being Ryan’s idea? Do U think he’ll regret it if it’s used in Justin’s case? Sound OFF (below).
