That’s a shizload of money!
Ayman Abu Aita, a Palestinian grocer and peace activist from Bethlehem, is suing Sacha Baron Cohen for libel damages after being portrayed as a terrorist in Bruno.
Abu Aita is saying that the film has ruined his life, that he is a “firm opponent” of terrorists and has received death threats since the film’s release!
He also says that he was tricked into the interview thinking that Cohen was a German producing a film about the Palestinian cause.
Cohen told David Letterman on his show last July that they found the “real terrorist” through a CIA contact.
If the guy isn’t a terrorist he probably should get some money as that’s a pretty libelous statement, but 70 million pounds!?
