While the “Palin Effect” has proved to be ratings gold for SNL, it didn’t do much for Katie Couric.
Guess people find Tina Fey‘s Palin a little more entertaining!
Still, the Couric-Palin interview garnered the newscaster and The CBS Evening News some raise in viewership, as modest as it might have been. And, hopefully audience numbers will continue to rise as the interviews with Sexy Sarah was the first in a series of interviews in which Katie asks each of the candidates the same questions.
Katie, who famously left The Today Show and a hefty raise to switch to another television network altogether, has a questionable future on CBS. Ratings for the news program haven’t been as healthy since Katie joined two years ago.
In fact, Couric’s ratings are down now as opposed to this same time last year!
But, Katie has a another interview scheduled with the now famous Alaskan governor, so here’s hoping that as the election draws closer ratings will climb!
