Short-Haired Bumblebees Reintroduced Into The UK After 25 Years

Short-Haired Bumblebees Reintroduced Into The UK After 25 Years

This is so ahmayzing!! Go science!!

Conservationists in the UK are trying to bring back an extinct species of bumblebee!!

The short-haired bumblebee is being reintroduced into the Kent area.

Several queens have been raised and released into the area in an attempt to start a breeding population.

Since the project started, they’ve recorded young worker bees in a 2.5 mile area├óΓé¼┬ª the first to be seen in 25 years!!

Clearly, the program is working! That’s so great!

The whole point of bringing these bees back is to help bring flowering meadows back to the British countryside.

Sounds like a beautiful idea!

Check out the video (above) to see how they’re raising and releasing these queens!
