Sneezing Monkey, SpongeBob And Devil Worm Are New Species!

Several new species were recently described.
There was a scary skull-faced sneezing monkey, a new mushroom species named after SpongeBob SquarePants and a worm that lives almost a mile underground named for the devil, the Devil Worm.
How did we miss all these creatures until now??
The newest monkey is called the Sneezing monkey. Its nose is so upturned that it looks like it was hacked off! They sneeze so often when it rains, that to avoid inhaling water they tuck their heads between their knees during storms.
The SpongeBob mushroom, or Spongiforma squarepantsii, was found to be the only night-blooming orchid. It’s a fungus that produces a fruity smelling, spongey looking mushroom.
We like how the researchers had a good enough sense of humor to officially call it SpongeBob!
The Devil worm was discovered in a South African gold mine that was about 0.8 miles down. That was the deepest a worm has ever been found. It was called the Devil worm because the little 0.5mm long guys have to survive incredible pressure and heat. Just like el Diablo!
Hello worms, monkeys and mushrooms!
