For all the money NBC has put into the guy, he’d had better have premiered on #1. Otherwise, at this point, they might as well reincarnate Johnny Carson after Jay’s been at it for seven months just to see if THAT will pull in ratings.
Jay Leno’s return to The Tonight Show last night brought in huge ratings for the network, winning the night by 80 percent over The Late Show with David Letterman and ABC├óΓé¼Γäós combination of Nightline and Jimmy Kimmel Live.
But will the numbers hold?
Better prepare the shovels, just in case.
