Stephen Colbert has a serious knack for getting silly with politicians on his HIGHlarious show, The Colbert Report, and Bill Clinton was no exception!
The former president appeared on the show to talk about the Clinton Global Initiative (above), but the comedian had a little something up his sleeve!
When the subject of social media came up, Stephen asked Bill why he isn’t more active with websites such as Twitter. Well, it turns out he’s just as insecure as the rest of us, saying:
“What if you tweet and nobody tweets back? There’s nothing worse than a friendless tweeter, right?”
We’ve all been there, Mr. President! Ha!
Not satisfied with his answer Stephen decided to give him the little push into the 21st century he needed and set up a Twitter account for him!
That’s right! You can now start following the former president at @PrezBillyJeff! LOLz!!
With a little help from the comedian, Bill reluctantly sent out his first and only tweet on air, saying:
Just spent amazing time with Colbert!Is he sane? He is cool! #cgiu

It’s unclear whether or not he will actually use this account, but he already has nearly 75,000 followers!
Looks like he wont have to worry about being tweeted back! Ha!
