According to a new report, an engagement between Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift may not be far off! We’ve long heard rumblings, and hoped for that for a while, but this?! This could be such a game-changer!!

On Thursday morning, Us Weekly published a report citing an insider who claimed not only that the duo is “so in love” (duh!), but also that they are already thinking about their happily ever after. And their closest friends are, too! The source claimed that friends are on the optimistic side that the Kansas City Chiefs star will get down on one knee soon and pop the question:
“They’re so in love. Friends hope an engagement is a sure thing in the future.”
Ahhh!!!
A “sure thing”?! Sign us up!!!
Now, to be fair, there are a couple of wrinkles in that plan… for now. The foremost short-term speed bump is Travis’ NFL schedule. Travis, Patrick Mahomes, and the rest of the Chiefs open their season tonight against the Baltimore Ravens, and then play 16 more games in the next 17 weeks after this one. Plus, obviously, they’re hoping for a long playoff run if things go their way and they can defend their Super Bowl title. So, Kelce is going to be a SUPER busy man for the next few months!

He’s not the only one with a ton on his plate, either. Per that same Us Weekly insider, the 34-year-old songstress is facing the final leg of her historic Eras Tour that picks up again in October and runs through December. She’ll be busy AF for those last few months of 2024, too!
But until that tour resumes, she is right now taking this time and “honing in what she wants to focus on after the tour.” That means “spending quite a bit of time with Travis” before she hits the road again in another month. Well, as much time as she can considering he’s going to be in the middle of his season! Still, it sounds like she wants to let the dust settle on her hectic life, per that same source:
“She’s trying to make sure she has down time first and hasn’t fully made decisions about anything just yet. She’s really focused on getting back to some normalcy in the next couple months that she has off after being on a crazy ride with the tour.”
Makes sense!! The Exile singer has been out on tour on-and-off since March of LAST YEAR — obviously with a few breaks peppered in for good measure. But she’s been grinding it out! She deserves a break! (And she also deserves a ring!! Just saying, Travis! And we’re not talking about Super Bowl rings, either — even if the NFL is leaning hard on Taylor to do all their marketing for them!)
