More details have come out about Teddi Mellencamp’s rumored affair! And it’s a wild story full of unbridled passion!
When The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum announced her divorce from husband Edwin Arroyave at the beginning of November, fans were shocked. No one saw it coming — so obvi everyone wanted to know what happened! Teddi and Edwin have not shared what led to their split, even in legal docs, and most likely won’t for the time being. However, we have heard how their 13-year marriage was far from blissful, as they were in therapy for years to try and make it work. Then there’s this bombshell cheating rumor going around…

DeuxMoi revealed on her Deux U podcast last week that multiple sources told her Teddi was having an affair with her married horse trainer! And it was a long ride!
OK, first off… The story goes she wasn’t the only one who cheated! Edwin did, too — and maybe even first! See, one insider told the gossip account that the Bravolebrity previously found out about Edwin’s affair and that “they were working through it.” Maybe that’s what the months of counseling were about?
But it doesn’t sound like therapy worked in this case. It sounds like Teddi tried to get even with her hubby instead…
DeuxMoi did not reveal the name of the 43-year-old television personality’s alleged equestrianist lover at the time of the podcast. But now we have the name and more dirty deets! A source told Dailymail.com on Wednesday that Teddi had a months-long affair with Simon Schröeder, who specializes in horse jumping and runs Schroeder Sporthorses. He had been working with her and her horse Totally, nicknamed Toad.
They were doing a lot more than just training, though, says the source. And how his wife found out is horrible! We’d heard it was bad, but damn! Simon may make Tom Sandoval look like a saint after all this! San Sandy! OK, that might be a stretch. But the situation is still so messed up…
According to the insider, Simon was in Florida with Teddi while his wife Karli Postel was — get this — giving birth to their second child in California! Yeah, you read that correctly! He was with his mistress instead of being by his pregnant wife’s side during labor!
Naturally, his messed up priorities set off alarm bells for Karli. The source said:
“Karli thought it was suspicious that her husband was in Florida when she was giving birth.”
When Simon returned home, the insider claimed she discovered texts on his phone “that exposed the affair” — and she confronted him and Teddi about it. Knowing they were caught, the pair “confessed” to Karli about their affair and “Teddi promised it would not happen again.” But we guess Teddi had her fingers crossed behind her back! The source continued:
“Karli didn’t tell Edwin when she found out. She was willing to give Simon another chance and stayed with him. But last month, Karli found proof that the affair was ongoing and that it had become ‘emotional.’”
This poor woman. What a huge betrayal she went through! However, she sadly was used to this kind of heartbreak from her husband. This was not his first time cheating, says the source. Oof. However, the continued affair with Teddi was the final straw for her, and she got some quick revenge. How? She told Edwin everything!
“Simon had a history of cheating and Karli was tired of being connected to him. Edwin only learned of the affair late last month when Karli told him.”
Once Teddi was caught, she filed for divorce. Not because she realized she needed to do the right thing and break up with Edwin before carrying on with her fling with Simon — but because she didn’t want Edwin to “get her for adultery.” Wow. The source said:
“She filed for divorce from Edwin so that he did not have the chance to file and get her for adultery. It has been alleged that the marriage ended because Edwin cheated on Teddi, but it is actually the other way around.”
