The Writers' Guild Lay Off Leno

The WGA West is no longer accusing Jay Leno of violating the rules of the writers’ strike that hit Hollywood in 2007/early 2008!
The WGA West had claimed Leno, a Writers’ Guild member, violated strike rules by writing his own monologues for The Tonight Show.
Three other writers were not cleared by the Guild and were subsequently found guilty on Tuesday of:
– “Performing writing services during the strike on a one-hour pilot teleplay”
– “Refusing to cooperate with the Strike Rules Compliance Committee in connection with an investigation of prohibited writing services alleged to have been performed on film”
– “Writing and submitting scripts to a struck company for a daytime serial”
But Leno got off scot free! Not a single strike violation!
