According to a new survey from BMI, the royalty-distribution service, here are the top ten songs played at MLB, NFL, and NHL games in 2009-2010:
#1. Queen – We Will Rock You
#2. Kevin Rudolf and Lil Wayne – Let It Rock
#3. Nickelback – Burn It To The Ground
#4. Black Eyed Peas – Boom Boom Pow
#5. Christina Aguilera – Car Wash
#6. Sean Kingston – Fire Burning
#7. Blur – Song 2
#8. Soulja Boy Tell Em – Turn My Swag On
#9. Jay-Z, Rihanna & Kanye West – Run This Town
#10. Bush – Machinehead
The President/CEO of BMI, Del Bryant, commented on the list by saying:
“The fact that the top sports songs from football, hockey, and baseball have been popular for two decades or more illustrates the enduring value of great music. When we celebrate good times and memorable occasions, we turn to superb music that has stood the test of time.”
Heck yes! Queen will never get old and will ALWAYS be the champions of sports anthems in our book.
