2018’s version of #TheDress? #YannyVsLaurel, or a better hashtag we haven’t seen yet.
Because the internet loves anything that will cause mass division, Twitter users are LOSING IT over this audio recording shared by Chloe Feldman that either says “Yanny” or “Laurel.”

What do you hear?! Yanny or Laurel pic.twitter.com/jvHhCbMc8I

After a few plays, the obvious choice is “Yanny.” But some sharp-eared users pointed out that listening for the lower register yields in hearing the “Laurel.”
Basically, you can either hear a higher, nasally “Yanny” or a lower, robotic “Laurel” — if you have super-ears, that is! Most users could NOT hear the other option.

If you pick up on the higher pitch it’s Yanny amd the lower pitch is Laurel. I heard Yanny 10 times before I could hear Laurel.
