West Hollywood To Ban Fur Sales

After a seven hour meeting, the City Council voted unanimously on an ordinance that would prohibit the sale of clothing or personal attire made of animal hair, wool or fur.

Leather is the only exception.

They have yet to make the details of the law, such as when it takes effect and how much a violation would cost.

Hopefully it’s a big number.

West Hollywood is well known for it’s animal-friendly laws.

Pets in West Hollywood are formally recognized as “companions” and owners are known as “guardians.”

So cute.
