When You Run Out Of Ideas...

With the on-going writer’s strike still in effect, the big TV Execs at NBC have resorted to copying shows from other countries. The latest rip-off to enter the lineup will be Kath & Kim, a show based on the popular Australian series of the same name.

We can’t really blame it on the strike, though. They would have picked this show up even if the writers were back at work.

The show is about a 50-something divorcee mother, Kath, and her snotty, spoiled 20-something daughter, Kim.

The roles of Kath & Kim are set to be played by Molly Shannon and Selma Blair.

Interesting combo.

Blair patented snotty and spoiled in Cruel Intentions and Shannon honed her 50-something shtick on Saturday Night Live.
