Even though it’s been a year since the strike, the WGA West is reportedly still considering disciplinary action against Jay Leno, a Writers Guild member, for presenting self-penned monologues when his show was on during the strike last year.
Leno is facing “expulsion or suspension from guild membership, imposition of monetary fines or censure” according to WGA strike rules. There is, however, an appeals process.
During the strike, Leno paid his staff out of pocket, and after a great deal of back and forth between Leno and the WGA, it was thought that the matter had been resolved.
Do U think the WGA is going too far?
