Wolverine Sequel Already Happening!

Filed under: Film Flickers > Australiastic > Hugh Jackman

xmenoriginswolverine.jpg

As we mentioned, Hugh Jackman's latest flick, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, took in $35 million just this past Friday! And the movie brought in over $85 million for the entire weekend!

With the success of the film, it's no surprise there's a Wolverine sequel on the way!

Seed Productions is already planning the sequel which will focus on the samurai storyline from the comic book series.

Seed is set to produce the flick and writers will soon be hired.

And you can bet this means Jackman will likely be asking for a hefty raise.

    boring

  7. 7

The movie was good but I think they gave too many of the high points away with previews before other movies. I was expecting it to be way better than what it was.

  8. 8

I hope the writing is better than Wolvering 1

    Movie producers…listen to me.
All you have to do is make an exciting movie. Just copy the formula for Iron Man! Make it fun, fast paced, and exciting. Whats all we want.

You guys RUIN every fucking comic book movies with dumb cliches and bad writing.
Make it fun and action PACKED like Iron Man and youre all set.

In fact just take Iron Man and re-write it for wolverine, that will work.

I'm sorry, I love Wolverine the character, but this movie was sub-par. Total misuse of an awesome comic book universe by turning it into an incredibly standard, plotless movie.

  10. 10

Of course, who didn't see this coming.
    And Hugh deserves every dime!

  11. 11

i heard this movie sucked but im not shocked because it still made a lot of money and the sequel prob will as well.

  15. 15

HEY FAT BODY….YOU ARE A FUCKING WORHTLESS SACK OF GARBAGE…

He won't get a raise, he already got it for this one and is getting paid the top dollar for male stars. that's 20 mil a picture. It's pretty hard to go beyond that you stupid fat disgusting fuck!!!

On a side note I hope they put him in his appropriate costume, mask and all. Batman wears a mask so can Wolverine.

  17. 17

    yay!
i don't care how many people didn't like it, or how much they strayed from original Deadpool (and other major comic-to-movie flaws), i'm pumped!

  18. 18

it sucks make a gambit move with a better gambit

  19. 19

Well its not really a big surprise here. I loved the movie and can't wait for the sequel!!!

  20. 20

The film was well written, it brings humanity and life to the character. The other X mans were so focused on the plot to "save the planet" that they lacked humanity.

  21. 21

Yes!! I LOVED Wolverine! Definitely going to watch the sequel!!

This is so dope. I was a kid with a well developed imagination. I was 1 of 5, 4th in line. All the other siblings were girls. I was given, by my mom and dad, the ability to use my mind, thanks, guys. Comic books were my escape. All these comic book flicks coming out, while I am becoming an adult and parent, are truly, how the brits say, the beez nees(spelling may not be right). I can't wait for all my childhood heroes to be made into "real" stories. Beats believing and knowing the simple-minded state of those that help endorse babble like this site. I only log on to see the stupidity of what the world has to offer my kids, no imagination or free thinking I was raised with.

Good point DDizzle….Walt Disney brought childhood stories to life in my day, and I enjoy all the comic book heroes/jump to movies today…..haven't seen all of the new movies…but I love that the productions are made with some honesty about the characters and our lives in general. Keep enjoying..
