Janet Jackson‘s new album will be released in February, it was confirmed on Tuesday.
The still-untitled project is the follow-up to 2006’s critical and commercial disappointment 20 Y.O.
Unlike that record, this new one is NOT being produced by Jermaine Dupri. Thankfully.
Def Jam CEO Antonio “L.A.” Reid is overseeing the project.
Jackson is expected to tour in support of the new record, but she said she’d tour in support of the last one too. That never happened.
Our fingers are crossed. We love old school Janet! Hopefully she’s still got a little magic left in her!
