Ellen DeGeneres is out and proud!
To many viewers that's not news, however, twenty years ago it was a VERY big deal. In case you forgot, back in 1997, Miz DeGeneres shocked fans when she came out as gay and subsequently made her character on her ABC sitcom (Ellen) interested in women too.
